Fourth Grade
Welcome to Auburn Elementary Fourth Grade!
We offer a Fourth Grade program that is aligned with the Michigan Department of Education's Core Content State Standards. Our program is designed to support individualized learning through systems of intervention, support and activities such as:
- Differentiated Instruction (Multiple Intelligences Research)
- Collaborative Learning (Kagan Cooperative Learning Structures)
- SAM (Students Achieving More) Intervention Program. This program individualizes student learning goals by focusing our staff on informal and formal student achievement data to identify Core Content State Standards that challenge students. Every 4 - 6 weeks student data is reviewed, collaboratively, by grade level staff in the areas of English Language Arts and Mathematics content. Students are then grouped, within their grade level and with their peers, according to their content strengths and weaknesses. Students will receive instruction and enrichment that focuses on the acquisition and enhancement of the Core Content State Standards and then are reassessed for mastery.
- Mid-term and trimester letter grade reporting (every six weeks). Parent on-line access to student progress through Skyward Family Access.
