Help Our School

What can I do to help my child's school?

There are fabulous things happening at school this year and many ways you can get involved!  Whether you are new or returning to Auburn Elementary you should find this informative. Post it on your fridge as a reminder of events where you can volunteer to help, chair, or simply participate in throughout the year. Some are one-time-only events while others are recurring.  All help raise money for your child's enrichment at little or no cost to you.

Burger King Nights

Held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Auburn location.  Auburn Elementary earns a percentage of sales.  Visit the school calendar tab for specific dates.
Coupons will be sent home with Auburn Attractions each month with each student. The coupons must be submitted at the time of your order (inside or drive-thru).

Campbell Soup Labels for Education

We only need the UPC section on the labels (no need to send in the whole label).  Auburn Elementary has earned jump ropes, balls and other outdoor equipment for our students.  A drop box is located near the Cafeteria.

Terracycle
Capri Sun Pouches, Chip Bags & Zip Loc Sandwich & Storage Bags

We receive 2¢ for each Capri Sun, Kool-Aid and Honest Kids (Sam's Club product) juice pouch. Remove the straw, cut off the top of the pouch, rinse out and dry.  We also receive 2¢ for each chip bag or Zip Loc storage style bag as well.  Save them at home and return to the green recycling bins located in the school café.

Fall Fundraiser

This is our signature school fundraising event.  A catalog with great holiday gift ideas will be sent home in September.  Money must be collected and submitted with the order forms.  Orders will be in before the holiday season.

Gordon Food Service "Fun Funds" Program
 
Purchasing designated "Fun Funds" items at Gordon's earns money for Auburn Elementary.  Regardless of what type of payment you use, GFS will donate to us.  The percentage we earn is based on the amount of dollars spent during the quarter by all the Auburn School members.  Remember GFS for holiday gatherings.  If 40 families spend $40 per month, our school could earn about $2,000 a year in cash rebates. Once you enroll a key tag is mailed to your home.  Please scan that prior to your purchases.  Applications are available in the school office or at the Gordon Food Service store in Midland & Bay City.

Magazine Sales
 
This gives parents, family members and friends the opportunity to order subscriptions to a variety of magazines at reduced prices and raise money for Auburn Elementary.  Watch for more information about this fundraiser come February.

Meijer Rewards

Meijer Rewards are earned by using a Meijer credit card, cash or debit card at any Meijer store. We will receive 1% of all eligible purchases with a Meijer credit card at a Meijer store and 0.5% of all purchases made with cash or debit. Once you sign up, you will receive a key tag to scan prior to your purchase. Sign up forms are available at school, at Meijer or online at Meijer.com/MCRmember, or call 1-800-962-7011. Our school code is 661687.

Target Rewards

Every time you use your Target Visa, Target Credit Card or Target Check Card at any Target store or Target.com, we earn 1% of the purchased amount. In addition, anywhere else you use our Target Visa, our school will earn ½% of the purchased amount. If you already have one of the above cards, be sure to register it to Auburn Elementary School by calling 1-800-316-6142 or visit www.target.com/tcoe and enter the code 1047. Tell your family, friends and neighbors to register their cards to our school too!

Look for details on these programs in the monthly Auburn Attractions newsletter.  Please plan to join us at our monthly PTO meetings.  We'd love for you get involved with the PTO.  All teachers, parents, and caregivers are always welcome and encouraged to attend and contribute.
